Prayer

Our prayers go out to Bob and Sharon Smith and their family at the tragic loss of their daughter Erin this week. Erin and her husband Eli were on a motorcycle when a truck pulled in front of them. Eli is in Memorial hospital in South Bend with several fractures and lacerations, but will recover.

 Fall Party

Don’t miss it! This Saturday make plans to come to our annual Fall Party here at River of Life. It begins at 4 pm with lots of fun activities for the children. Hot Dogs and Drinks are provided.  Bring a side or dessert to share.

We will have face painting, pumpkin painting, inflatables, a bonfire with s’mores and end the night with a hayride. The inflatables must be monitored or we can not have them running. Please sign up on the bulletin board to take a shift.  Rain date will be October 19.

Baptism

We have scheduled a baptism service for next Sunday, October 13 for anyone who has decided to make Jesus Lord of their lives and would like to be baptized. Let one of the pastors know if you would like to participate. Applications are available in the office.

Middlebury Food Pantry

October is our month to supply and man the pantry. Stop by the table in the foyer, pick up a list of needed items, purchase as much as you are able during the month and return those items to the church (in the hall outside the office).  Every Saturday from 8 am-noon we need 8-12 people to sign up to help bag items and carry them to the clients cars. Children are welcome to come and help with their parents. If you would like to supply baked goods for the clients while they are waiting you can bring those to the church kitchen by Friday or to the food pantry by 8 am Saturday morning.

Nursery Schedules

Nursery schedules are now available on the check in table and at each of the nursery entrances.

Annual Officer Appreciation Day

Dave and Kathy Peachey will be at the table in the foyer to assist anyone who would like to help at the Officer Appreciation Day on October 19  at Rouch World, Sturgis, MI   There are lots of opportunities to serve these officers and their families by helping with  providing and serving food, helping with activities, set up, parking and more.
