River School

We are making plans to begin our 9th River School again in mid-September. If you are interested in going deeper in some Christian study, this may be for you. We meet every Thursday night during the school year with the exception of holidays and breaks. This next year we will explore in 4 areas of study; Worldview and You, Crazy Love, Christian Doctrine and Kingdom Principles. More information coming!

Thank You

A big thank you to John & Julie Miller, Dave & Kathy Peachey, and all the young adult team that showed up and put in a lot of hard work in helping with our house. It was very much appreciated! It was simply amazing to watch them work!- Andrew & Sara Coblentz

Guess Who’s Coming to Grilling

Join us for another great time of fellowship and getting to know one another on August 25 at 6 pm. Sign up as a host if you are willing to have some people over to your house, specifying how many people you think you can host or sign up as a guest if you’d like to go to someone’s home and learn to know people better. The Church Council takes the names and assigns guests to host’s homes, then they call each guest letting each know where to go and what “dish” to take whether a salad, side or dessert. Guests keep all this to themselves, show up at 6 pm, and thus solve the mystery of “Guess Who’s Coming to Grilling!” Sign up sheets are on the bulletin board for either “guests” or “hosts”.

Annual Church Picnic

On Sunday, September 8 everyone is invited to stay  for a picnic on the grounds after the morning service.  This is a great time to get to know others and enjoy good food.

What’s on the menu? Grilled chicken and brats, and hot side dishes will all be provided. Families with children please bring a salad and a dessert. Singles and families without children, please bring a salad or a dessert.

Like to help out? There are plenty of opportunities – sign up on the bulletin board.

There will be no evening service.

 Home Groups

Thank you for the feedback. A few notable things mentioned in the surveys that were turned in were….

  • 1. People mostly liked the fellowship and relationships cultivated.
  • 2. They like to study the Word.
  • 3. They wanted to keep the same groups.

We will proceed incorporating all 3.

We will be going through The Sermon on the Mount taking 1/2 of it before the year end then finishing after the new year. There will be 12 meetings total with first 6 beginning on September 22 and ending December 8. The second half will begin January 12 and end on  March 22. If you didn’t participate in the last meetings we are inviting you to participate in this session by signing up today on the bulletin board.
